What we collect
From clients: name, email, telephone if you give it, the contents of your booking note, and billing details needed to raise an invoice. From households: a first name, neighbourhood, contact number, sitting availability, and the observer’s log of what happened in the room. From the website: the cookie choice you store in your own browser, and whatever your browser sends to reach the pages (typically an IP address and user agent in hosting logs).
We do not ask for identity card numbers, payment card numbers on this site, or health information. Do not put those in the message field.
Why we hold it
We use client details to estimate, book, brief, invoice, and reply. We use household details to arrange evenings and to write briefs that do not name people in full. Hosting logs exist to keep the site reachable and to investigate abuse. Cookie choice exists so the banner does not nag you on every page.
Retention
Booking notes and briefs are kept for seven years with the financial record. Household contact numbers are removed from the active recruitment list three years after the last sitting unless the person asks to stay. Hosting logs are rotated by the host, typically within ninety days. Cookie choice lives in your browser until you clear it.
Who we share with
We do not sell lists. We share what a brief requires with the client who paid for that sitting, under the terms. A host in or outside Malaysia may process website logs. An accountant in Malaysia may see invoices. We do not pass household contact details to a client unless the household has agreed in writing.
International transfers
If our host or email provider stores mail outside Malaysia, we still remain the controller. We choose providers who offer a written contract and a level of care comparable to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010. You may ask where a particular mailbox is stored; we will say what we know.
Your rights
Subject to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you may ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to withdraw consent where consent was the basis, and to complain to the Commissioner. Households may ask to leave the recruitment list. Email the desk. We may need to confirm it is you.
Children
Sittings may occur in homes where children are present. We do not interview minors or name them in briefs. If you are a parent and wish a sitting not to proceed because a child will be in the room, say so when we recruit.
